Angie Cruz at Carnegie Library (Oakland)

Angie Cruz is the author of the novels Soledad and Let It Rain Coffee, a finalist in 2007 for the IMPAC Dublin Literary Award. She is founder and editor in chief of Aster(ix), and is an associate professor of English at the University of Pittsburgh. Her new novel, Dominicana, is a vital portrait of the immigrant experience and the timeless coming-of-age story of a young woman finding her voice in the world.

This free event is at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh in Oakland and is part of the Pittsburgh Arts & Lectures Made Local series, and is presented in partnership with the University of Pittsburgh’s Center for African American Poetry and Poetics.
